I ran across the idea of using comic book boards to create mini bolts of fabric for organization. I am in love!

I am making a couple of little bags for gifts for the friends I will be seeing in Austin this weekend. Here is the first one:
Pattern by Noodlehead: http://www.noodle-head.com/2012/06/open-wide-zippered-pouch-diy-tutorial.html
Off to Austin on Thursday!! QuiltCon, old and new friends, eating, drinking and general merry making! http://www.quiltcon.com/
I have been busy, but neglectful about posting.
I finished my scrappy trip along top.
Basted and started quilting my windows quilt. It is an Elizabeth Hartman http://www.ohfransson.com/ pattern from her first book.
Made a block for my swap partner. And then made another because I used the wrong background color.
And then decided to make a Valentine’s Day quilt the night before Valentine’s Day because of a pattern posted by one of my favorite quilty bloggers http://www.canoeridgecreations.com/2013/02/xo-quilt-tutorial.html. I got the top done, and picked out the backing fabric.
I hope to finish the quilting and bind the windows quilt before my quilt guild meeting http://frontrangemodernquiltguild.webs.com/ on Saturday. At the meeting I will probably work on a gift or two to take to Austin with me next week. I am going to QuiltCon, but also visiting with some friends.
I have signed up for Canoe Ridge Creations Fresh Mini Quilt Club. Now I need to wait until March. Impatience is my middle name.
This is the building where I work. I have been thinking that those big center windows would make a good quilt design for a while now.
I started playing with Illustrator, and came up with this:
The inside of the library is decorated in blues, grays and that lovely shade of green, so I added a bit of the green in there too. What do you think?

I had started writing my projects down in a notebook, but I think these would be even more helpful. Thank you to Taryn of From Pixels to Patchwork!
This is a wall hanging for a silent auction at a library conference. I hope the librarians will like it enough to pay a good price! Various scraps of fabric, with Kona cotton white and charcoal. It is a bit off in the upper left corner. Just pretend you don’t see it, ok? 😉
I had seen some similar quilts, but none of them were exactly what I pictured in my mind, so I just made it up as I went along. I think I would like to make another one for myself with all solids.
